1120POL - 6/25/09 at 11:22 AM

I have a client that is running for Congress and

a 1120POL is due on 7-15-09. The campaign has collected money but has only a noninterest barren account. So the interest is under the 100.00 requirement. Should we still file the 1120POL anyway.

Of course not. This disclosure stuff is for the birds. Nobody ever reads a candidate's financials anyway. Or if they did, you certainly wouldn't want to emphasize that you're not pulling in enough to get a decent return.

Is your opponent an experienced politician? 'Cause I'm sure he would encourage you to miss that mandatory deadline.

Ya, right! Nobody reads them except their opponents and the media - and with a fine tooth comb.
