I'm not exactly sure what you are asking, but I can think of several ways that might work in very limited circumstances if you have a high tolerance for irregularity.
In my opinion the various energy credits are generally available when the new property is placed in service. For example, I think a purchase made in December 2008 might not be eligible for the credit until it is installed in January 2009.
The energy credits usually reduce basis, so property without the credit might get higher depreciation each year. One might find the overall tax effect to be similar in spite of the timing.
You might also look for other business issues that can affect subsequent years as well, even for personal use property later converted to business use. That may or may not involve credits, but at least some form of tax benefit may be there.
