Estate tax credit - 8/11/08 at 8:36 PM

After filing a 1041 return and a state 1041 return the results were $12485 Fed and $2055 State. Also, the state 706 return showed taxes due of $26427.44.

Are there any types of credits I can take as a beneficiary of this estate on my personal tax return.

Also, I inherited an IRA and was not given the option of taking the distributions over time or rolling the IRA over into another IRA in my name. Thus, I am forced to pay taxes on the full amount of my distribution. Any suggestions for minimizing the tax consequences on this.

I assume that you are a DIYer. This is for pros to help you out, but not after the fact. You should have had an elder atty work with you.
